Research Interest

We are interested in novel catalytic reactions using

  • Frustrated Lewis Pairs (FLP)
  • Carbon–Heteroatom Bond Formations
to achieve unusual reactions through metal-free activation of small molecules (molecular hydrogen, olefins, alkynes, alkanes), increased activity of palladium complexes through ligand effects in C–N and C–S cross couplings.

Thank's to Niko we have a new, awesome Website.
Finally, Peter's paper on the heteroacene synthesis is accepted by Chem. Eur. J. publication
- After a long journey....
Peter's and Peng's paper C–S cross coupling is accepted by Adv. Synth. Catal. and has been selected as Very Important Paper including a Cover Picture.
- Congratulations!
Sebastian's and Karl's paper on the Structure-Rectivity-Relationship of FLP's has been accepted for publication by Chem. Eur. J. The work has been selected as Cover Picture and rated as Hot Paper!
- Congratulations! Well done!
Niko was awarded with a followship by the Fonds der Chemischen Industrie
- Congratulations!
Serjej's and Niko's paper on FLP-catalyzed Cycloisomerization has been accepted by Angew. Chem.
- Good work and Congratulations!
Sebastians paper on the microwave-assisted FLP-catalyzed hydrogenation has been accepted by Dalton Trans.
- Congratulations! Well done!
Niko, Tobi and Peng join the group for their Master Thesis.
- Welcome! And good luck!
Karl joins the group for his postdoc.
- Welcome and Good Luck!
